Entering Chile: On arrival, everybody must pass through the international police check and present their passports and the visa stamp (depending on their nationality).  British Passport holders do not require a visa to visit Chile, provided they have a return air ticket to the UK and are not staying for longer than 90 days.   

Reciprocity Tax:  Passengers with passports from Australia, Canada, United States and Mexico must pay a reciprocity tax before going through International Police.  

Health: No vaccinations are required to enter Chile; there is no risk of disease such as Malaria or Hepatitis.

Climate
According to the Köppen System, Chile hosts at least seven major climatic subtypes, ranging from desert in the north, to alpine tundra and glaciers in the east and south east, humid subtropical in Easter Island, Oceanic in the south and Mediterranean climate in central Chile. There are four seasons in most of the country: summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), winter (June to August), and spring (September to November).
